In order to help clients better understand just how much fun green screen pictures is for everyone, I created a sample of each of our backgrounds with people in the photos. This gives a very clear image of what the finished backgrounds look like.

Not only does this convey how much fun it is, it also shows that everyone does it. The kids and the grandparents are all lining up with goofy props just to take their turn and have some fun.

So last weekend I did a green screen bar mitzvah party and the client was surprised she was getting 6×8 because she was at a party a couple weeks ago and they were printing 4×6 photos. So she was pleased.

The planner was there and she was also impressed with the size and quality of the photos. So much so that she talked to one of her upcoming clients, who I am doing tats at her August bat mitzvah, into cancelling the photo booth from another company and hiring us to do GS.

It does cost a little more to produce the photos, but the end result is more parties which means more money. I’ve always strived to book more parties and not try to maximize the profit from individual parties.

Lots of fun and the place was busy the entire time. We had fun taking photos of the moms and dropping them into some hilarious backgrounds like the WANTED above. My favorites are Face Swap like the TeleTubbies and the Wild Thing. I also love doing the Head On Body like the Hillbillies.

In my own misunderstanding of Jewish culture, I had long thought that tattoos were forbidden because of the Holocaust. However, this article by Rabbi Gershom Barnard: Ask the Rabbi: Jews and Tattoos states:

“The origin of the traditional Jewish prohibition of tattooing is at Leviticus 19:28: “You shall not make gashes in your flesh for the dead, or incise any marks on yourselves; I am the Lord.”  The described practices were presumably part of pagan religious practice, which the Torah vigorously opposed.  The Talmudic discussion of the subject, found, for example, in the Babylonian Talmud Makkot 21a, defines the offense as involving both making some visible mark on the skin, with ink or whatever, and doing it in some way that the dye is introduced into the skin, not just on the surface” and goes on to say “Removable tattoos,” body art which involves merely painting or drawing on the skin without penetrating it, is technically not prohibited. However, since removable tattoos might look very much like permanent tattoos, it is perhaps not advisable to get those, either.”

In this collection of past party photos you can see we have 69 sets from bar & bat mitzvahs over the last few years. The guests getting tattoos range in age from 1 to 100 and as you can see, this is a safe, fun form of entertainment for everyone.

So, what the plan for this event is there is a stage in the room and they are going to put the chair onstage and close the curtain. They will rope off the stage and stairs so nobody gets up there and ruins the fun. Later in the event they are going to slip Rachel onstage where she will sit in the Big Chair and they will pull the curtain back to reveal Rachel! HOW FUN IS THAT? I know, I know!

Family Fun Entertainment started seven years ago with just two airbrush tattoo systems and today we operate with ten systems. I believe our growth has been a combination of great client service and great products as well as attention to detail and our ability to identify and fulfill client needs.

Last year we decided to expand our services into bay area photo booths and that was a good decision for us. We purchased two photo booths and they were instantly a hit with our clients and we have since been considering adding another. The booths are lots of fun because they are a 5′x5′ draped canopy that becomes an instant haven for goofiness. Everyone loves our photo booths and we have them both booked most weekends.

This year we thought adding something else was a good idea and we got a little carried away with our purchases! We have added Big Chair Photos, Boogie Heads, Green Screen Novelty Photos and just recently added a Caricature Artist to our services.

A caricature is a portrait that exaggerates or distorts the essence of a person, animal or object to create an easily identifiable visual likeness. In literature, a caricature is a description of a person using exaggeration of some characteristics and oversimplification of others.

I recently met a guy who is a talented artist and accomplished caricaturist and I just had to see if he would work with us. Turns out he was looking for exposure and today I added a caricature page to my website to let everyone know that we now offer it.

Yesterday I sent an email to all of my grad night events to see if they needed a caricature artist.  So far I’ve booked two events and have a couple others interested. Today I emailed the planners I work with to let them know too.

We had tons of fun doing airbrush tattoos at a couple of small birthday parties in San Francisco at private residences on Thursday and Friday. Saturday we were once again doing airbrush tattoos at the Youth Summit in Pittsburg. This years event was aimed at helping teens overcome bullying and was held from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 31 at Los Medanos College. This was our 5th year providing free airbrush tattoos to the attending youth.

We also did airbrush tattoos at another small party in the city of Ross for a very small group of people. And of course we had the fabulous Carlos running one of our photo booths at Johnny & Danielle’s wedding at the poppy Ridge Golf Course in Pleasanton.

And today did airbrush tattoos at the South Marin Mothers Club in Mill Valley. What a great group of women to work with and we are happy to work with them.

Advertising Agencies & Public Relations Firms:

Advertising agencies and public relations firms can use temporary tattoos to promote a marketing strategy for their clients.  We have done airbrush tattoos for a couple companies at a trade show. At one event, the tattoo we put on guests was the logo of the company that hired us. The tattoo itself was an ‘invite” into the companies private party later in the evening.  Anybody with the tattoo “invite” gained entry into the party. Pretty cool marketing tool.
Kid’s tattoos or adult temporary tattoos can also be passed out during advertising trade shows, conferences, fairs and festivals and speaking events. Having your logo, or your clients logo, created into temporary tattoos is a great method of advertising your or your clients business.
